 David Glober, CCMC (Certified Career Management Coach) has been a Professional Résumé Writer and Job Interview Coach since 1995, when he was on staff at the agency of renowned career expert Donald Asher. David's work appears in two books by Mr. Asher, The Overnight Résumé and Asher's Bible of Executive Résumés. Mr. Glober serves clients all over the U.S. His range of clients includes executives, directors and managers in strategic marketing, sales, business development, human resources, operations and finance, as well as software engineers, programmers, graphic designers, quality assurance managers and directors and line staff, and MDs, nurses, massage therapists and visual artists. He has contributed content and branding consultation for enterprise-level Web sites, and has designed and coded Web sites for small businesses, theater groups, artists and health care practitioners. He also served a small urban newspaper as editor, associate publisher and features writer, and has worked in education, advertising, marketing, business development and sales.
In addition to being an outstanding writer and editor for résumés, cover letters, professional profiles, bios and other career-related documents, David is a highly qualified job search and career management coach. He helps busy executives who have invested years in command-and-control environments to appreciate their achievements and expand their records of accomplishment into professional and personal lives of greater meaning and fulfillment. A visionary in his approach to business and coaching, he has studied Organizational Behavior and Development at the college level, and contributed key research to "Building an Environmental Economy, A Strategy for 'Environmental Business'" prepared for the City of Berkeley, CA to add sustainable business attraction and retention strategies to economic planning. He once represented The Thomas Register, the 20-plus volume engineering and purchasing directory for all categories of American manufacturing that appears in libraries and U.S. consulates throughout the world.
David has also worked on the staff of Active Learning, a program coaching high school and college students to enjoy and make the most of their learning experiences in school. Active Learning gave students direct experience in applying fundamentals of cognitive theory (learning how we learn) to assert their educational needs with teachers and fellow students, and in the classroom environment, activities and even homework. The program empowered students to use an easily acquired five-step process of inquiry: (1) Tell me what I'm going to learn; (2) Don't just tell me, show me as much as possible through examples, models, graphs, charts, studies, and especially field trips, first-hand accounts and stories that feed the imagination; (3) Let me try on my own (the experience of 'I did it!' and 'I got it!'); (4) Give me feedback on how well I'm learning and fine points to coordinate hands, eyes, bodies, concepts, imagination, materials and tools; (5) Help me 'practice to mastery' so that I'm developing real skills (and not just learning facts and figures).
Mr. Glober was a founding member of the International Association of Coaches, a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and a member of the National Résumé Writers' Association. He lives and works near the Financial District in San Francisco, CA, and is an actively involved godfather to a precocious nine-year-old. |
